Description
上記燃焼室に露出する電極を有して上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つに設けられた放電装置と、
上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つに、燃焼室へ電磁波を放射できるように設けられたアンテナと、
上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つに設けられ、一端が上記アンテナに接続し、他端が絶縁体又は誘電体に覆われて上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つにおける燃焼室から離れた部位まで延びる電磁波伝送路と、
この電磁波伝送路に電磁波を供給する電磁波発生装置とを備え、
爆発行程により排気ガスが生じてから燃焼室に排気ガスが残留している間に、放電装置の電極で放電させ、電磁波発生装置から電磁波伝送路を介して供給した電磁波をアンテナから放射するように構成している。
爆発行程により排気ガスが生じてから、吸気バルブが吸気ポートを開き又は排気バルブが排気ポートを開くまでの間に、放電装置の電極で放電させ、電磁波発生装置から電磁波伝送路を介して供給した電磁波をアンテナから放射するように構成してもよい。
クランクシャフトのクランク角を検出するクランク角検出装置と、
このクランク角検出装置からの信号を受け、放電装置及び電磁波発生装置の作動を制御する制御装置とを備えていてもよい。
上記アンテナに電磁波を供給したときにアンテナに生じる電磁波の電界強度が大になる部位の近傍に電極が位置づけられていてもよい。

Claims (3)
- シリンダブロックに貫通して設けられたシリンダにピストンを往復自在に嵌め、上記シリンダブロックの反クランクケース側にガスケットを介してシリンダヘッドを組み付け、上記シリンダヘッドに開口する吸気ポートを吸気バルブで開閉し、上記シリンダヘッドに開口する排気ポートを排気バルブで開閉するようにし、これらの部材により燃焼室を構成した内燃機関に設けられる燃焼室の排気ガス後処理装置であって、
上記燃焼室に露出する電極を有して上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つに設けられた放電装置と、
上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つに、燃焼室へ電磁波を放射できるように設けられたアンテナと、
上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つに設けられ、一端が上記アンテナに接続し、他端が絶縁体又は誘電体に覆われて上記燃焼室を構成する部材のうち少なくとも一つにおける燃焼室から離れた部位まで延びる電磁波伝送路と、
この電磁波伝送路に電磁波を供給する電磁波発生装置とを備え、
上記アンテナに電磁波を供給したときに上記アンテナに生じる電磁波の電界強度が大になる部位の近傍に上記電極が位置づけられ、
爆発行程により排気ガスが生じてから燃焼室に排気ガスが残留している間に、上記放電装置の電極で放電させ、上記電磁波発生装置から上記電磁波伝送路を介して供給した電磁波を上記アンテナから放射するように構成した燃焼室の排気ガス後処理装置。 - 爆発行程により排気ガスが生じてから、上記吸気バルブが上記吸気ポートを開き又は上記排気バルブが上記排気ポートを開くまでの間に、上記放電装置の電極で放電させ、上記電磁波発生装置から上記電磁波伝送路を介して供給した電磁波を上記アンテナから放射するように構成した請求項1の燃焼室の排気ガス後処理装置。
- クランクシャフトのクランク角を検出するクランク角度検出装置と、
このクランク角度検出装置からの信号を受け、上記放電装置及び上記電磁波発生装置の作動を制御する制御装置とを備えている請求項1又は請求項2の燃焼室の排気ガス後処理装置。
