Description
上記燃焼室に露出する電極を有して上記シリンダヘッドに設けられた放電装置と、
上記バルブヘッドのバルブフェイスに設けられたアンテナと、
上記バルブステムに設けられ、一端が上記アンテナに接続し、他端が絶縁体又は誘電体に覆われてバルブステムにおけるガイド孔に嵌る部位又はそれよりも上記バルブヘッドから遠い部位にある受電部まで延びる電磁波伝送路と、
この受電部に電磁波を供給する電磁波発生装置と、
を備え、
上記シリンダヘッドには吸気ポート又は排気ポートからシリンダヘッド外壁まで貫通するバルブガイド装着孔が設けられ、このバルブガイド装着孔に誘電体よりなる筒形のバルブガイドが嵌まり、このバルブガイドの孔によってガイド孔が構成されており、このバルブガイドにおける、少なくとも上記バルブヘッドが吸気ポート又は排気ポートの燃焼室側の開口を閉じたときに上記受電部に近接する部位が誘電部材になっている。
上記アンテナが、バルブフェイスにおいて中心を取り囲むようにほぼC字形に形成され、このアンテナの一端が電磁波伝送路に接続していてもよい。
上記受電部が上記バルブステム外面に露出しており、
上記シリンダヘッドに設けられ、少なくとも上記バルブヘッドが吸気ポート又は排気ポートの燃焼室側の開口を閉じたときに上記受電部に近接する誘電体よりなる誘電部材と、
上記シリンダヘッドに設けられ、この誘電部材に対して上記バルブステムと反対側から近接する電気伝導体よりなる給電部材を備え、
この給電部材に電磁波発生装置から電磁波を供給するように構成してもよい。
上記アンテナに電磁波を供給したときにバルブヘッドのバルブフェイスの周囲に生じる電磁波の電界強度が大となった部位の近傍に電極が位置づけられていてもよい。

Claims (2)
- 燃焼室に接続して吸気通路又は排気通路の一部を構成するようにシリンダヘッドに設け
られた吸気ポート又は排気ポートの燃焼室側の開口を、吸気ポート又は排気ポートからシ
リンダヘッド外壁まで貫通するガイド孔にバルブステムが往復自在に嵌まった吸気バルブ
又は排気バルブにおける上記バルブステムの先端に設けられたバルブヘッドにより所定タ
イミングでもって開閉するようにした内燃機関に設けられるバルブを用いたプラズマ装置
であって、
上記燃焼室に露出する電極を有して上記シリンダヘッドに設けられた放電装置と、
上記バルブヘッドのバルブフェイスに設けられたアンテナと、
上記バルブステムに設けられ、一端が上記アンテナに接続し、他端が絶縁体又は誘電体
に覆われてバルブステムにおけるガイド孔に嵌る部位又はそれよりも上記バルブヘッドか
ら遠い部位にある受電部まで延びる電磁波伝送路と、
この受電部に電磁波を供給する電磁波発生装置と、
を備え、
上記シリンダヘッドには吸気ポート又は排気ポートからシリンダヘッド外壁まで貫通す
るバルブガイド装着孔が設けられ、このバルブガイド装着孔に誘電体よりなる筒形のバル
ブガイドが嵌まり、このバルブガイドの孔によってガイド孔が構成されており、
このバルブガイドにおける、少なくとも上記バルブヘッドが吸気ポート又は排気ポート
の燃焼室側の開口を閉じたときに上記受電部に近接する部位が誘電部材になっており、
上記バルブヘッドが上記吸気ポート又は排気ポートの燃焼室側の開口を閉じた圧縮行程
に放電装置の電極で放電させ、電磁波発生装置から電磁波伝送路と、上記誘電部材とを介して供給した電磁波をアンテナから放射するように構成したバルブを用いたプラズマ装置。 - 上記アンテナが、バルブフェイスにおいて中心を取り囲むようにほぼC字形に形成され
、このアンテナの一端が電磁波伝送路に接続している請求項1のバルブを用いたプラズマ
装置。
