Claims (3)
- 電解質の両側に一対の電極が設けられた電解質・電極構造体とセパレータとが水平方向に積層され、前記電解質・電極構造体と前記セパレータとの間には、前記電極の面方向に沿って反応ガスを供給する反応ガス流路が形成されるとともに、互いに積層される前記セパレータ間には、前記反応ガスの流れ方向と略直交する冷却媒体の流れ方向を有し、前記電極の面方向に沿って複数の流路溝を有する冷却媒体流路が形成される燃料電池であって、
前記冷却媒体流路の流れ方向に略直交する幅方向に延在し且つ前記冷却媒体流路に連通するとともに、該冷却媒体流路を挟んで対向し積層方向に貫通する冷却媒体入口連通孔及び冷却媒体出口連通孔を有する冷却媒体連通部を備え、
前記冷却媒体連通部は、前記反応ガス流路の出口周辺部分の開口断面積が、その他の部分の開口断面積よりも小さく構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記冷却媒体連通部は、前記冷却媒体流路と前記冷却媒体入口連通孔とに連通する連結路及び前記冷却媒体流路と前記冷却媒体出口連通孔とに連通する連結路を有し、
前記反応ガス流路の出口周辺部分の前記連結路の本数は、その他の部分の前記連結路の本数よりも少ないことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、前記反応ガス流路の出口周辺部分の発電面積は、その他の部分の発電面積よりも大きく設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
