Description
図1を参照すると、1は機関本体、2は各気筒の燃焼室、3は各燃焼室2内に夫々燃料を噴射するための電子制御式燃料噴射弁、4は吸気マニホルド、5は排気マニホルドを夫々示す。吸気マニホルド4は吸気ダクト6を介して排気ターボチャージャ7のコンプレッサ7aの出口に連結され、コンプレッサ7aの入口は吸入空気量検出器8を介してエアクリーナ9に連結される。吸気ダクト6内にはステップモータにより駆動されるスロットル弁10が配置され、更に吸気ダクト6周りには吸気ダクト6内を流れる吸入空気を冷却するための冷却装置11が配置される。図1に示される実施例では機関冷却水が冷却装置11内に導かれ、機関冷却水によって吸入空気が冷却される。
図8を参照するとまず初めにステップ70において昇温制御中か否かが判別される。昇温制御中でないときにはステップ71に進んでHC付着量ΣHCが許容付着量MAXを越えたか否かが判別される。ΣHC>MAXとなったときにはステップ72に進んで昇温制御が開始される。昇温制御が開始されるとステップ70からステップ73に進んでHC付着量ΣHCが下限値MIN以下になったか否かが判別される。ΣHC<MINになったときにはステップ74に進んで昇温制御が停止される。

Claims (5)
- 機関排気通路内にNOx選択還元触媒を配置し、該NOx選択還元触媒に尿素を供給して該尿素から発生するアンモニアにより排気ガス中に含まれるNOxを選択的に還元するようにした圧縮着火式内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、上記NOx選択還元触媒に付着したHCの付着量を推定するHC付着量推定手段を具備しており、該HC付着量推定手段により推定されたHC付着量が予め定められた許容付着量を越えたときにはNOx選択還元触媒を昇温させてNOx選択還元触媒から付着HCを脱離させ、それによってNOx選択還元触媒のHC被毒を回復するようにした圧縮着火式内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 上記NOx選択還元触媒に流入するHCの量が算出され、上記HC付着量推定手段は、算出された流入HC量に対して予め設定されているNOx選択還元触媒へのHC付着率およびNOx選択還元触媒からのHC脱離速度を用いて上記HC付着量を推定するようにした請求項1に記載の圧縮着火式内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- NOx選択還元触媒に流入する排気ガス中のHC濃度を検出するためのHC濃度センサを設けて該HC濃度センサによりNOx選択還元触媒に流入するHCの量が求められ、上記HC付着量推定手段は、求められた流入HC量に対して予め設定されているNOx選択還元触媒へのHC付着率およびNOx選択還元触媒からのHC脱離速度を用いて上記HC付着量を推定するようにした請求項1に記載の圧縮着火式内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 上記NOx選択還元触媒上流の機関排気通路内に酸化触媒を配置し、該NOx選択還元触媒を昇温すべきときには該酸化触媒にHCを供給してHCの酸化反応熱によりNOx選択還元触媒を昇温させるようにした請求項1に記載の圧縮着火式内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 上記NOx選択還元触媒の昇温開始後、上記HC付着量が予め定められた下限値まで低下したときにNOx選択還元触媒の昇温作用を停止するようにした請求項1に記載の圧縮着火式内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
