Description
Claims (11)
- 行列状に配された画素の集合からなる画素アレイ部と、前記画素アレイ部を駆動する駆動部とからなり、
前記画素アレイ部は、2本の画素列に対して1本の割合で配された列状の信号線と、1本の画素行に対して1本の割合で配された行状の第1駆動線と、同じく1本の画素行に対して1本の割合で配された行状の第2駆動線とを備え、
前記信号線は、対応する左右一対の列の画素に共通接続され、
前記第1駆動線は、対応する行の画素に接続され、
前記第2駆動線は、これを間にして上側にある行の画素と下側にある行の画素とに互い違いに接続されており、
前記駆動部は、前記信号線に映像信号を供給する水平駆動回路と、前記第1駆動線に第1駆動信号を供給する第1垂直駆動回路と、前記第2駆動線に第2駆動信号を供給する第2垂直駆動回路とを含み、
各画素は、前記第1駆動信号及び前記第2駆動信号により映像信号に応じた輝度で発光動作し、以って前記画素アレイ部に画像を表示する表示装置。 - 前記駆動部は、
第1フィールド期間で画素の各行を一回走査し、第2フィールド期間で画素の各行をもう一回走査し、以って1フレーム分の画像を前記画素アレイ部に表示し、
前記第1フィールド期間で、前記第1垂直駆動回路は前記第1駆動線を一行ずつ順次走査して前記第1駆動信号を供給する一方、前記第2垂直駆動回路は奇数番又は偶数番の前記第2駆動線のうち一方を選択的に走査して前記第2駆動信号を供給し、以って各信号線に共通接続された左右一対の列に含まれる画素の半分を発光動作させ、
第2フィールド期間で、前記第1垂直駆動回路は前記第1駆動線を一行ずつ順次走査して前記第1駆動信号を供給する一方、前記第2垂直駆動回路は奇数番又は偶数番の前記第2駆動線のうち他方を選択的に走査して前記第2駆動信号を供給し、以って各信号線に共通接続した左右一対の列に含まれる画素の残り半分を発光動作させる請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記画素は少なくとも、サンプリング用トランジスタと、駆動用トランジスタと、保持容量と、発光素子とを備え、
前記サンプリング用トランジスタは、その制御端が前記第1駆動線又は前記第2駆動線の一方からなる走査線に接続されており、その一対の電流端が前記信号線と前記駆動用トランジスタの制御端との間に接続されており、
前記駆動用トランジスタは、一対の電流端の一方が前記発光素子に接続されており、他方が前記第1駆動線又は第2駆動線の他方からなる給電線に接続されており、
前記保持容量は、前記駆動用トランジスタの制御端と電流端との間に接続されており、
前記画素は、前記走査線から供給された駆動信号に応じて前記サンプリング用トランジスタがオンし前記信号線から映像信号をサンプリングして前記保持容量に書込み、且つ前記給電線から供給された駆動信号に応じて前記駆動用トランジスタが動作し、前記保持容量に書き込まれた映像信号に応じた駆動電流を前記発光素子に供給する請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記画素は、前記映像信号を前記保持容量に書き込む前の時点で、前記走査線及び前記給電線から供給される駆動信号に応じて補正動作を行い、前記駆動用トランジスタの閾電圧のばらつきをキャンセルする補正量を前記保持容量に足しこむ請求項3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記画素は、前記補正動作を時分割的に複数回繰り返し行う請求項4に記載の表示装置。
- 前記画素は、前記映像信号を前記保持容量に書き込む時に、前記駆動用トランジスタの移動度のばらつきをキャンセルする補正量を前記保持容量から差し引く請求項3に記載の表示装置。
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置を備えた電子機器。
- 行列状に配された画素の集合からなる画素アレイ部と、前記画素アレイ部を駆動する駆動部とからなり、
前記画素アレイ部は、2本の画素列に対して1本の割合で配された列状の信号線と、1本の画素行に対して1本の割合で配された行状の第1駆動線と、1本の画素行に対して1本の割合で配された行状の第2駆動線とを備え、
前記信号線は、左右に隣接する列の画素に共通接続されており、
前記第1駆動線は、行の画素に接続されており、
前記第2駆動線は、上下に隣接する行の画素に互い違いに接続されており、
前記駆動部は、前記信号線に映像信号を供給する水平駆動回路と、前記第1駆動線に前記第1駆動信号を供給する第1垂直駆動回路と、前記第2駆動線に前記第2駆動信号を供給する第2垂直駆動回路とを含み、
各画素は、前記第1駆動信号及び前記第2駆動信号により映像信号に応じた輝度で発光動作する表示装置。 - 請求項8に記載の表示装置を備えた電子機器。

各画素は、前記第1駆動信号及び前記第2駆動信号により映像信号に応じた輝度で発光動作する表示装置。 - 請求項10に記載の表示装置を備えた電子機器。
