Claims (8)
- 多気筒内燃機関の全気筒を二つの気筒群に分けて、それぞれの排気マニホルドには気筒群毎の排気通路が接続され、一方の前記排気通路には、ターボチャージャのタービンが配置され、前記一方の排気通路のタービン上流側の連通部と他方の前記排気通路の連通部とが連通され、前記他方の排気通路の前記連通部の下流側には制御弁が配置された内燃機関の排気装置において、前記一方の排気通路の前記連通部の下流側にはもう一つの制御弁が配置され、前記他方の排気通路の前記連通部の下流側には触媒装置が配置され、機関始動時には全気筒の排気ガスが主に前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置を通過するように前記他方の排気通路の前記制御弁及び前記一方の排気通路の前記もう一つの制御弁が制御され、前記一方の排気通路には前記タービンの下流側にHC吸着装置が配置され、機関始動時におけるクランキングから始動完了直後までは、全気筒の排気ガスが主に前記一方の排気通路の前記HC吸着装置を通過するように前記他方の排気通路の前記制御弁及び前記一方の排気通路の前記もう一つの制御弁が制御されることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記一方の排気通路には前記タービンの下流側にもう一つの触媒装置が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 前記HC吸着装置は、触媒を担持して、もう一つの触媒装置としても機能することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 機関始動時に前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置の暖機が完了したと判断される時には、前記一方の排気通路を通過する排気ガス量が前記他方の排気通路を通過する排気ガス量と等量以上となるように、前記他方の排気通路の前記制御弁及び前記一方の排気通路の前記もう一つの制御弁が制御されることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 機関始動時に前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置の暖機が完了したと判断される時には、全気筒の排気ガスが主に前記一方の排気通路を通過するように、前記他方の排気通路の前記制御弁及び前記一方の排気通路の前記もう一つの制御弁が制御されることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 機関始動時に前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置の暖機が完了したと判断される時には、前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置及び前記一方の排気通路の前記もう一つの触媒装置のうちの測定又は推定された温度が低い方を多くの排気ガスが通過するように、前記他方の排気通路の前記制御弁及び前記一方の排気通路の前記もう一つの制御弁が制御されることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 全気筒の排気ガスが主に前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置を通過している時間が設定時間となった時に前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置の暖機が完了したと判断することを特徴とする請求項4から6のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 測定又は推定された前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置の温度が設定温度に達した時に前記他方の排気通路の前記触媒装置の暖機が完了したと判断することを特徴とする請求項4から6のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
