Claims (5)
- 発色が異なる3個のセルからなる画素が縦横に並ぶカラー表示用の画面を備え、多階調のフレームを2階調の複数のサブフレームに置き換え、各サブフレームに対して書込み形式のアドレッシングを行って前記複数のサブフレームを順次表示するガス放電表示装置であって、
複数のフレームのそれぞれの表示における先頭のサブフレームの表示において、前記画面を構成するセルのうちでそれに対応する多階調データ値が階調0に対応した最低輝度を指し示す値ではない非最低輝度セルを点灯させ、且つ前記非最低輝度セルに隣接する少なくとも1つのセルを強制的に点灯させ、前記先頭のサブフレーム以外のサブフレームの表示においては、前記画面を構成するセルのうちでそれに対応する2階調データ値が点灯を示す値であるセルのみを点灯させる
ことを特徴とするガス放電表示装置。 - 複数のフレームのそれぞれの表示における先頭のサブフレームの表示において、前記非最低輝度セルが対応する画素の全てのセルを強制的に点灯させる
請求項1に記載のガス放電表示装置。 - 複数のフレームのそれぞれの表示における先頭のサブフレームの表示において、前記非最低輝度セルおよび前記非最低輝度セルに隣接する両側のセルを強制的に点灯させる
請求項1に記載のガス放電表示装置。 - 前記画素が、発色が青であるセルとそれの両側に配置された発色が赤のセルおよび発色が緑のセルで構成される
請求項3に記載のガス放電表示装置。 - 複数のフレームのそれぞれの表示における先頭のサブフレームの表示において、前記非最低輝度セルおよび前記非最低輝度セルに隣接する両側のセルのうちで発色の視感度が一般的に低い方のセルを強制的に点灯させる
請求項1に記載のガス放電表示装置。
