Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a plotter (printer) such as an ink jet type used as an output device of a computer, and more particularly to a paper floating prevention mechanism for preventing a recording medium from floating above a paper supporting surface of a drawing member.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, as a paper transport mechanism of an ink jet plotter (printer), for example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-11566, "a recording paper is held by a drum type main roller and a pressing roller. In addition, a mechanism is adopted in which the sheet is conveyed toward the discharge port while being held between the sub-roller and the spur-shaped roller so as to prevent the floating of the roller and closely contact the upper guide plate.
[0003]
As shown in FIG. 6, the paper (6) is brought into close contact with a flat drawing member (4) in which a number of air holes (2) are formed by the suction force of the suction device (8). ) Are sandwiched between a driving roller and a pinch roller, and the rotation of the driving roller feeds the sheet (6) in the X-axis direction (B), while moving the ink jet recording head (10) in the Y-axis direction (c). ), A pinch roller type ink jet plotter (printer) has been developed in which recording is performed on a sheet (6) by a recording head (10) by reciprocating. Further, as shown in FIG. 7, the substrate of the drawing member (12) is provided with an uneven guide portion (12a) composed of a plurality of ridges and a concave groove adjacent thereto, and the unevenness guide is provided by the recording head (10). A mechanism for recording on a sheet (6) on a sheet (12a) and pressing the sheet (6) downstream of a recording position with a spur-shaped roller (14) to prevent the sheet from floating is known.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When the drawing member (4) having the flat paper support surface with holes shown in FIG. 6 is used, the paper that has absorbed the ink expands during recording. The suction device (8) does not fully absorb the expanded portion on the sheet supporting surface, causing the sheet to float, thereby causing the recording head (10) to scrape the sheet (6). As shown in FIG. 7, when the paper (6) is pressed directly by the spur roller (14), the image quality is adversely affected, and the spur roller (14) stains the paper (6) after recording. There is a problem.
An object of the present invention is to solve the above problems.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the present invention, at least both sides of a recording medium (22) are sandwiched between a driving roller (28) and a pinch roller (40), and the recording medium (22) is rotated by rotating the driving roller (28). ) Is conveyed from the upstream side of the drawing member (24) to the downstream paper guide (20) via the drawing member (24), and is recorded on the recording medium (22) at the drawing position of the drawing member (24). In a plotter for recording by a head (34), the drawing member (24) and an air suction device (52) for generating a suction force in a predetermined area before and after the drawing member (24) are provided, and a vent hole is formed in the drawing member (24). A plurality of ridges (m) arranged in parallel extending in the X-axis direction parallel to the conveying direction of the recording medium (22). Groove (n) adjacent to A paper support surface is formed at the upper end of each of the ridges (m) arranged in parallel, and the drawing member (24) is located downstream from the drawing position of the drawing member (24) at a predetermined interval. A) forming a cut base surface (26) lower than the paper supporting surface of the concave / convex guide portion (44); and providing a second concave / convex guide portion (46) downstream of the cut base surface (26) adjacent thereto. The height of the paper support surface of the second uneven guide portion (46) is lower than the height of the paper support surface of the uneven guide portion (44) of the drawing member (24).
[0006]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In FIG. 2,
[0007]
A pair of drive rollers (28) (the other is not shown) is disposed at an opposing portion between the drawing member (24) and the rear paper guide (18), and the drive roller (28) is mounted on a base (30). ) Is fixedly mounted on a drive shaft (32) rotatably supported by the drive shaft. Reference numeral (34) denotes an ink jet recording head, which is attached to a Y-axis guide rail (36) so as to be able to reciprocate in a direction perpendicular to the paper surface of FIG. 2, that is, along the Y-axis. A pair of roller support arms (38) are rotatably supported on the Y-axis guide rail (36), and a pinch roller (40) is rotatably supported on the roller support arms (38).
[0008]
The pinch roller (40) resiliently contacts the surface of the corresponding drive roller (28) by a spring force acting on the roller support arm (38), and is arranged on the paper guides (18) and (20). Both sides of the medium (22) are configured to be clamped by interaction with the drive roller (28). A guide member (42) is fixed to the substrate (24a) of the drawing member (24) with a step. On the substrate (24a) of the drawing member (24), a first uneven guide portion (44) is formed on the upstream side of the cut table surface (26), and the substrate (42a) of the guide member (42) is formed. ), A second uneven guide portion (46) is formed on the downstream side of the cut table surface (26).
[0009]
As shown in FIG. 1, the first concave / convex guide portion (44) has a plurality of ridges (m) extending in the X-axis direction formed in parallel at substantially equal intervals on a substrate (24a). The stripe (m) forms a plurality of concave grooves (n) extending in the X-axis direction on the surface of the substrate (24a). An inclined surface (48) is formed at an end of each of the ridges (m) on a side in contact with the cut table surface (26). Similarly, a plurality of ridges (m) are formed in parallel on the second uneven guide portion (46), and the plurality of ridges (m) extend on the surface of the substrate (42a) in the X-axis direction. A concave groove (n) is formed. The height of the paper support surface of the second uneven guide portion (46) is set lower than the paper support surface of the first uneven guide portion (44) and slightly higher than the cut table surface (26).
[0010]
An inclined surface (50) is formed at an end of each convex ridge (m) of the second concave-convex guide portion (46) on the side in contact with the cut table surface (26). (52) is an intake device driven by a motor, and is fixed to the main body (16). The suction device (52) is configured to generate suction force over a range W on a surface of a paper transport path including the paper guides (18) and (20), the drawing member (24) and the guide member (42). I have. The paper guides (18) and (20), the drawing member (24) and the guide member (42) each have a suction hole (not shown) communicating with a suction device (52) in a portion belonging to the suction force generation area (W). Many are drilled.
[0011]
Next, the operation of the present embodiment will be described.
A recording medium (22) such as a roll paper drawer or cut paper placed on the rear paper guide (18) is sandwiched between a driving roller (28) and a pinch roller (40), and is driven by the driving roller (28). 2), the paper is conveyed in the arrow direction (B) while receiving a downward vacuum force on the drawing member (24) by the clockwise intermittent rotation in FIG. The ink-expanded portion of the recording medium (22) on the drawing member (24) is sucked into the concave groove (n) as shown in FIG. In close contact with the paper support surface consisting of the upper end of the paper. The recording head (34) reciprocates in the Y-axis direction on a recording medium (22) which is in close contact with the paper supporting surface of the drawing member (24), and is driven by ink ejected from the recording head (34). At (22), printing is performed.
[0012]
The recording medium (22) after printing is conveyed to the second concave / convex guide section (46) via the cut table surface (26) while receiving the vacuum force, and the convex ridge (m) of the concave / convex guide section (46) is formed. The paper is further conveyed onto the front paper guide (20) while being in close contact with the paper support surface composed of the upper end. When the recording medium (22) is a roll paper, after recording one frame, the cut position of the recording medium (22) is positioned on the cut table surface (26) and provided on a carriage holding the recording head (34). The cutter (not shown) cuts a predetermined position of the recording medium (22).
[0013]
As shown in FIG. 5A, when the first and second concave and convex guide portions (44) and (46) are set on the same plane and the cut table surface (26) is set at a low position, the recording medium (22) There is a possibility that the tip is caught on the ridge (m) of the second uneven guide portion (46) on the downstream side. In addition, as shown in FIG. 5B, when the concave and convex guides (44) and (46) and the cut base (26) are set on the same plane, the recording medium (22) is set on the cut base (26). The cockle (bulge) (22a) rises upward, and the recording medium (22) floats up from the first uneven guide portion (44), that is, the drawing position, which has a bad influence on the drawing.
[0014]
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, between the first concave-convex guide portion (44) on the upstream side and the second concave-convex guide portion (46) on the downstream side with the cut table surface (26) as a boundary. Since the step is formed, it is possible to prevent the leading end of the recording medium (22) from being caught as shown in FIG. 5A and the floating phenomenon of the
[0015]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, since a suction force is generated on the paper support surface of the concave / convex guide portion formed at the drawing position and downstream thereof, the floating of the paper can be prevented, and the recording head does not rub the paper. Further, since the expanded portion of the sheet having absorbed the ink is adsorbed to the concave / convex guide portion by a non-contact vacuum force, high-quality recording can be performed.
