Abstract
Description
本発明は、吸水性ポリマー粒子を、減圧下にてスクリーン機内で分級することを含む、超吸収性ポリマー粒子の分級方法であって、最上部の篩の上の圧力が、最下部の篩の下の圧力よりも篩ごとに0〜4.0ミリバール高い、方法に関する。
a)酸基を有し、かつ少なくとも部分的に中和され得る少なくとも1種のエチレン性不飽和モノマー、
b)少なくとも1種の架橋剤、
c)少なくとも1種の開始剤、
d)任意で、a)に記載されたモノマーと共重合可能な1種以上のエチレン性不飽和モノマー、および
e)任意で、1種以上の水溶性ポリマー
を含み、かつ典型的には水不溶性である、モノマー溶液または懸濁液を重合することにより生成され得る。
例1(比較例)
脱イオン水、50重量%の水酸化ナトリウム溶液およびアクリル酸を連続的に混合することにより、中和度が71.3モル%に相当するように、アクリル酸/アクリル酸ナトリウム溶液を調製した。モノマー溶液の固形分は、38.8重量%であった。
最上部の篩の上の圧力が最下部の篩の下の圧力よりも20ミリバール(篩ごとに5ミリバール)高いことを除いて、例1を繰り返した。

- 超吸収性ポリマー粒子の分級方法であって、吸水性ポリマー粒子を、減圧下でスクリーン機を使用して分級し、最上部の篩の上の圧力が、最下部の篩の下の圧力よりも篩ごとに0〜4.0ミリバール高い、方法。
- 最上部の篩の上の圧力が、最下部の篩の下の圧力よりも篩ごとに0.25〜2.5ミリバール高い、請求項1記載の方法。
- 最上部の篩の上の圧力が、周囲圧力より少なくとも2ミリバール低い、請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 製品画分が、異なるメッシュサイズの少なくとも2つのスクリーンによって除去される、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
