Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排気通路内に配置されるのに適した、排気ガス中に含まれる粒子状物質を捕集するための排気浄化フィルタであって、交互に配置された排気ガス流入通路及び排気ガス流出通路と、これら排気ガス流入通路及び排気ガス流出通路を互いに隔てる多孔性の隔壁とを備え、隔壁に、平均細孔径が隔壁基材の平均細孔径よりも小さいコート層により基材表面が覆われたコート領域と、コート領域の下流側において基材表面が前記コート層により覆われていない非コート領域とが区画され、非コート領域において排気ガス中に含まれるアッシュが隔壁を通過できるように隔壁の細孔径が設定されており、コート層が、平均粒子径が互いに異なる複数の粒子群から形成されている、排気浄化フィルタ。
- 前記複数の粒子群が隔壁基材上にほぼ層状に配置されており、隔壁基材に近い層を形成する粒子群の平均粒子径が隔壁基材から遠い層を形成する粒子群の平均粒子径よりも大きい、請求項1に記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
- 前記複数の粒子群が隔壁基材上にほぼ均一に混合された状態で配置されている、請求項1に記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
- コート層を形成する粒子が触媒機能を有する金属から構成される、請求項1から3までのいずれか一項に記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
- 非コート領域に前記コート層とは異なる別のコート層が設けられており、該別のコート層に触媒が担持されている、請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
