Abstract
【解決手段】 (A)アミノ基および水酸基を含有するビニル共重合水性樹脂、(B)ホモポリマーのTgが60〜170℃、かつエステル基の炭素数が3〜8のメタクリル酸エステル単量体を必須共重合成分とする水酸基含有のビニル共重合樹脂、(C)アミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂、および(D)ブロック化ポリイソシアネートを必須成分とする、カチオン型電着塗料組成物で上記課題を解決できる。

Description
(A)塩基価が10〜85mgKOH/g−solid、水酸基価が20〜200mgKOH/g−solid、Tgが0〜50℃、かつ重量平均分子量が3,000〜100,000のビニル共重合水性樹脂、(B)ホモポリマーのTgが60〜170℃で、かつエステル基の炭素数が3〜8のメタクリル酸エステル単量体を共重合成分とし、そのメタクリル酸エステル単量体の含有量が30〜90重量%、水酸基価が20〜200mgKOH/g−solidであるビニル共重合樹脂、(C)エポキシ当量150〜3,000のエポキシ樹脂にアミノ基含有化合物を反応させて得られるアミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂、および(D)ブロック化ポリイソシアネートを必須成分とするカチオン型電着塗料組成物おいて、(A)、(B)、(C)、および(D)の全体100固形分重量部に対して、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)が1〜40固形分重量部であるカチオン型電着塗料組成物であり、ビニル共重合水性樹脂(A)、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)、アミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂(C)、およびブロック化ポリイソシアネート(D)の全体100固形分重量部に対して、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)が4〜25固形分重量部であるカチオン型電着塗料組成物であり、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)において、メタクリル酸エステル単量体がt−ブチルメタクリレート、およびまたはシクロヘキシルメタクリレートであるカチオン型電着塗料組成物であり、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)において、メタクリル酸エステル単量体がt−ブチルメタクリレートであるカチオン型電着塗料組成物であり、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)がアミノ基を含有し、その塩基価が10〜85mgKOH/g−solidであるカチオン型電着塗料組成物である。
[ビニル共重合水性樹脂(A)]
本発明に使用するビニル共重合水性樹脂(A)は、塩基価が10〜85mgKOH/g−solid、水酸基価が20〜200mgKOH/g−solid、Tgが0〜50℃、かつ重量平均分子量が3,000〜100,000のビニル共重合水性樹脂である。
本発明に使用するビニル共重合樹脂(B)は、ビニル共重合水性樹脂(A)とともに使用して、得られる電着塗膜の硬度を高め、耐擦り傷性を向上させるとともに、塗膜表面にガソリン、灯油、ブレーキオイル、その他各種の油類が付着した場合でも塗膜の硬度を低下させず、また塗膜外観が損なわれないようにするために使用されるものであり、ホモポリマーのTg(ガラス転移温度)が60〜170℃、かつエステル基の炭素数が3〜8のメタクリル酸エステル単量体の含有量が30〜90重量%、水酸基価が20〜200mgKOH/g−solidであるビニル共重合樹脂である。さらに本ビニル共重合樹脂(B)はアミノ基を含有することが安定な樹脂液分散体を得るためにより好ましく、アミノ基を導入する手段としてはビニル共重合水性樹脂(A)において記した手段と同様であり、その塩基価は10〜85mgKOH/g−solidが好ましい。しかし、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)がアミノ基を有しない場合でも、得られる塗膜の性能には何らの悪影響を及ぼすものではない。
本発明に使用するアミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂(C)は、エポキシ当量150〜3,000のエポキシ樹脂にアミノ基含有化合物を反応させて得られるアミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂である。
本発明に使用するブロック化ポリイソシアネート(D)はポリイソシアネートとブロック剤との反応物であり、ポリイソシアネートとしては、芳香族あるいは脂肪族(脂環式を含む)のポリイソシアネートであり、例示すると、2,4−または2,6−トリレンジイソシアネート及びこの混合物、p−フェニレンジイソシアネート、ジフェニルメタン−4,4’−ジイソシアネート、ポリメチレンポリフェニルイソシアネート、テトラメチレンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネート、1,3あるいは1,4−ビス−(イソシアネートメチル)−シクロヘキサン、ジシクロヘキシルメタン−4,4’−ジイソシアネート、ビス−(イソシアネートメチル)−ノルボルナン、3あるいは4−イソシアネートメチル−1−メチルシクロヘキシルイソシアネート、m−あるいはp−キシリレンジイソシアネート、m−あるいはp−テトラメチルキシリレンジイソシアネート、あるいは上記イソシアネートのビュレット変性体、あるいはイソシアヌレート変性体、あるいは上記イソシアネートのイソシアネート基の一部を、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、1,6−ヘキサンジオール、ネオペンチルグリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、1,4−シクロヘキサンジオール等の低分子ジオール、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリプロピレングリコール、ポリテトラメチレングリコール、ポリラクトンジオール等のオリゴマージオール、トリメチロールエタン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトール等のポリオールで連結したポリイソシアネートあるいはこれらの混合物が挙げられる。
製造例1(樹脂液A1の製造)
撹拌装置、温度計、モノマー滴下装置、還流冷却装置を有する反応装置を準備する。表1に示す配合に従って、(1)と(2)を反応装置に仕込み、撹拌下に還流温度まで上昇させ、(3)〜(8)を予め均一に混合した後、2時間かけて滴下した。温度は還流温度を維持した。滴下終了から1.5時間経過後に(9)を加えて、更に同温度で1.5時間反応を継続して透明で粘稠な樹脂液A1を得た。それらの固形分(%)、Tg(℃)、水酸基価(mgKOH/g−solid)、塩基価(mgKOH/g−solid)、重量平均分子量も表1に示した。
製造例2〜7(樹脂液B1〜B6) 実施例および比較例用
製造例8〜9(樹脂液B7〜B8) 比較例用
ビニル共重合水性樹脂(A)の製造例と同様に、撹拌装置、温度計、モノマー滴下装置、還流冷却装置を有する反応装置を準備する。表2に示す配合に従って、(1)を反応装置に仕込み、撹拌下に還流温度まで上昇させ、(2)〜(7)を予め均一に混合した後、3時間かけて滴下した。温度は還流温度を維持した。滴下終了から1.5時間経過後に(8)を加えて、更に同温度で1.5時間反応を継続して透明で粘稠な樹脂液B1〜B6(実施例および比較例用)および樹脂液B7〜B8(比較例用)を得た。それらの固形分(%)、ホモポリマーのTgが60〜170℃で、かつエステル基の炭素数が3〜8のメタクリル酸エステル単量体(%)、Tg(℃)、水酸基価(mgKOH/g−solid)、塩基価(mgKOH/g−solid)、重量平均分子量も表2に示した。
製造例10(樹脂液C1の製造)
撹拌器、温度計、冷却管を備えた反応容器にエポトートYD−014(新日鐵化学(株)製のビスフェノールA系の固形エポキシ樹脂)1,900部、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル904部を仕込み、撹拌、加熱を行って90℃まで昇温した。次いで同温度を保持しながらジエタノールアミン210部を仕込み、2時間保温してアミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂C1を得た。固形分は70%であった。
製造例11(樹脂液D1の製造)
撹拌器、温度計、冷却管を備えた反応容器にイソホロン133部、トルエン150部、VESTANAT T−1890/100(デグサAG社製イソホロンジイソシアネートのヌレート体)333部、コロネートHX(日本ポリウレタン(株)社製ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートのヌレート体)300部を仕込み60℃まで昇温した。次いで60℃を保持しながらメチルエチルケトンオキシム261部を1時間で滴下し、さらに60℃で2時間保温した。最後にプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル100部を仕込んで固形分75%のブロック化ポリイソシアネートD1を得た。
表3の配合により、(1)〜(13)の混合樹脂中和物中に、よく撹拌しながら徐々に脱イオン水(14)を仕込みそれぞれの水分散樹脂液を得た。
表3の配合により、(15)〜(20)をディゾルバーで十分撹拌した後、横型サンドミルを用いて粒ゲージ粒度が10μm以下になるまで分散し、それぞれの顔料ペーストを得た。
上記水分散樹脂液および顔料ペーストを表3のとおり配合して、それぞれ実施例および比較例の電着塗料を得た。
上記で得られた電着塗料を用いてカーボン電極を陽極としリン酸亜鉛処理板(日本テストパネル(株)製のPB−L3080、0.8×70×150mm)を陰極とし、焼き付け後の膜厚が20μmとなる条件で電着塗装を行い、150℃で25分間焼き付けを行った。電着塗料の性状および塗膜性能試験結果を表4に示す。

塗面状態を観察。
○:光沢、外観ともほとんど差なし
×:光沢、外観に差あり
(3)耐ブレーキオイル性 :
23℃でブレーキフルード(アメリカ連邦自動車安全基準で定め られるDOT4)中に2時間浸漬後、(i)塗面状態を観察、
(ii)JIS−K−5600−5−4に則り鉛筆硬度を測定。
(i)塗膜状態
○:光沢、外観ともほとんど差なし
×:光沢、外観に差あり
(ii)鉛筆硬度
○:浸漬後の硬度スケールの低下が2以下
×:浸漬後の硬度スケールの低下が3以上
(4)耐酸性 :20℃で5%の硫酸水溶液に120時間浸漬後塗面状態を観察。
○:光沢、外観ともほとんど差なし
×:光沢、外観に差あり
(5)耐アルカリ性 :20℃で1%の水酸化ナトリウム水溶液に120時間浸漬後塗面 状態を観察。
○:光沢、外観ともほとんど差なし
×:光沢、外観に差あり
(6)耐塩水噴霧試験:JIS−Z−2371に準じて行った。
電着塗装面に素地に達する傷をカッターナイフで入れ、500時 間後の錆幅を評価する。
○:カッターナイフの傷より、腐食幅が3.0mm以下
×:カッターナイフの傷より、腐食幅が3.0mmを超える
(7)促進耐候性試験:JIS−D−0205に準じて行った。
WAN−1Sの試験条件に設定したサンシャインカーボンウェザ メータ中に試験塗膜を固定し、600時間照射後塗面状態を観察。
○:光沢保持率80%以上
×:光沢保持率80%未満
Claims (5)
- (A)塩基価が10〜85mgKOH/g−solid、水酸基価が20〜200mgKOH/g−solid、Tgが0〜50℃、かつ重量平均分子量が3,000〜100,000のビニル共重合水性樹脂、(B)ホモポリマーのTgが60〜170℃で、かつエステル基の炭素数が3〜8のメタクリル酸エステル単量体を共重合成分とし、そのメタクリル酸エステル単量体の含有量が30〜90重量%、水酸基価が20〜200mgKOH/g−solidであるビニル共重合樹脂、(C)エポキシ当量150〜3,000のエポキシ樹脂にアミノ基含有化合物を反応させて得られるアミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂、および(D)ブロック化ポリイソシアネートを必須成分とするカチオン型電着塗料組成物おいて、(A)、(B)、(C)、および(D)の全体100固形分重量部に対して、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)が1〜40固形分重量部であるカチオン型電着塗料組成物。
- ビニル共重合水性樹脂(A)、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)、アミノ基含有エポキシ樹脂(C)、およびブロック化ポリイソシアネート(D)の全体100固形分重量部に対して、ビニル共重合樹脂(B)が4〜25固形分重量部である請求項1記載のカチオン型電着塗料組成物。
- ビニル共重合樹脂(B)において、メタクリル酸エステル単量体がt−ブチルメタクリレート、およびまたはシクロヘキシルメタクリレートである請求項1、あるいは請求項2に記載のカチオン型電着塗料組成物。
- ビニル共重合樹脂(B)において、メタクリル酸エステル単量体がt−ブチルメタクリレートである請求項1、あるいは請求項2に記載のカチオン型電着塗料組成物。
- ビニル共重合樹脂(B)がアミノ基を含有し、その塩基価が10〜85mgKOH/g−solidである請求項1、請求項2、請求項3、あるいは請求項4に記載のカチオン型電着塗料組成物。
