Abstract
Description
従来の既知の吸着プロセスによれば、成分 AとBを含む供給ガス混合物の成分Aを濃縮するために、成分Bをより容易に吸着しかつ成分Aをあまり容易に吸着しない吸着性材料が準備される。吸着性材料は吸着器又は吸着性ベッド内で流れチャンネルと接触する。ガス混合物がプロセスの供給ステップの間中に供給圧力と温度で吸着器の第1端に導入されると、成分Bは優先的に吸着され、そしてそれが成分Bを装填されるにつれて、成分A中で濃縮された第1製品が吸着器の第2端から送出される。次いで吸着器は、該プロセスを周期的に繰り返すように逆流内で成分Bを吸着するために再生される。
本開示発明はガス分離システムを高温燃料電池システムに適用する際の従来技術の幾つかの限界を取り扱うものである。
本開示発明の実施例では、発生システムの融通のきく動作を可能にする、電力及び/又は水素燃料及び/又は使用可能の熱の選択的発生を可能にするために適合する高温燃料電池電気発生システムが提供され、この燃料電池電気発生システムにおいては、発生システムは更に、“温室”ガスや他の環境に有害なガスの発出を軽減するための、及び燃料資源使用の持続性を増す作業の全効率を高めるための手段を組み込む。かかる実施例では、高温燃料電池はSOFCとすることができる。
1.H2対H2Oの高い初期比率は電圧効率と出力を改善するためにネルンスト(Nernst)電位 を上げる。
2. メタンは蒸気リフォーミングによって燃料電池反応のための化学的シンクとして作用し、かくして陽極チャンネルに沿ってH2対H2Oの高比率を維持するのを助ける。
3. H2Oは燃料電池酸化反応によって供給されるので、COとH2へのメタン転換が陽極チャンネルに沿って遅らされ、かくして陽極入口における過度に急速な吸熱反応蒸気リフォーミングに由来する急な温度勾配を軽減する。
4.. 低蒸気濃度はCH4とCOのCO2への転換を阻止し、かくして陽極チャンネル内の蒸気リフォーミング反応が、全熱バランスを改善するために燃料電池の廃熱を取り上げるために最も高い吸熱となることを保証する。
置換パージ再生をなす水素−濃縮回転吸着モジュールを図 1 − 4 につき以下に説明する。本文中で使用する“回転吸着モジュール”は、1つの配列をなした吸着器が固定した弁面又は固定子に対して回転する装置、又は弁面又は固定子が1つの配列をなした吸着器に対して回転する装置の何れかを含むが、これらに限定されるものではない。図示の実施例は回転子に取り付けられた吸着器をもち、この回転子は固定した弁面をもつ固定子であるハウジング内にある。
図5は、第1のバッファーパージガスとして置換パージガスをもちそして第2パージガスとして供給又は第1ガス混合物をもつ実施例の第1と第2の固定子弁面100と101を示す。図5および図7と9では、第1と第2の固定子弁面はセクション矢印14’−17’ によって示される1方向で見ており、従って第1固定子弁面は背後から見ている一方、第2弁面は正面から見ている。図6は軸線7の回りにおける 0°乃至 360 °の角度範囲を含む円周セクション内において吸着器を通る流れのパターンを示す。図6,8及び10の吸着器3を横切る破線はガス混合物AとB,BとC、及び成分AとC間の濃度フロントを表す。特に、破線175は該サイクル間中の二酸化炭素濃度フロントの動きを示す。

以下の実施例は固体酸化物燃料電池発電設備への本発明の応用を示す。SOFC積重ね体302は陽極チャンネル312と陰極チャンネル314の間に介在させた固体酸化物電解質膜310を含む。陽極チャンネルは、陽極排気導管319と陽極戻り導管319′を含む陽極ループによって接続された入口316と出口318をもつ一方、陰極チャンネル314は入口320と出口321をもつ。もし燃料が天然ガスであれば、それは陽極チャンネル312内で内部的にリフォームされる一方、適当な過剰の濃度のリサイクルされた水素と好適には若干の蒸気がカーボンの析出を阻止するために、陽極ループ119内に維持される。

陽極排気ガスを陽極排気出口から供給ガス混合物として回転吸着モジュールへ提供し、
使用可能の燃料ガスを陽極排気ガスから回転吸着モジュール内の
吸着手段によって分離して濃縮し、
かかる濃縮した使用可能の燃料ガスを陽極入口へ提供すること、
を含むことを特徴とするプロセス.
