Abstract
993,166. Reinforcements for concrete. BAU-STAHLGEWEBE G.m.b.H. May 16, 1962 [May 16, 1961], No. 18788/62. Heading D1K. A concrete reinforcement comprises a mat made up of a plurality of rods or bars 1, each comprising two links at an angle to one another and extending on either side of a medial line, and a plurality of parallel straight rods or bars 2 extending across the rods or bars 1 and connected thereto, e.g. by welding, the mat being bent along lines parallel to the medial line to form a cagelike structure, Fig. 5. Bars 2 may be parallel to or perpendicular to the medial line. Bars 1 may have links of varying lengths and may have intermediate straight parts, Fig. 8, extending across the medial line.
