Abstract

1,262,786. Reinforcing mats. BAU-STAHLGEWEBE G.m.b.H. 30 April, 1969 [4 May, 1969], No. 21923/69. Heading D1K. In a reinforcing mat for concrete and the like comprising longitudinal and transverse rods 1, 3 welded together, at least one pair of rods 2 is provided on at least one side perpendicular to the ends of the rods to be anchored and separated by a space of between 20 mm. and less than 50 mm. Rods 2 may be of smaller diameter than rods 1. In another arrangement, Fig. 2 (not shown) rods 1 are replaced by pairs of rods (4) except near the edges.
