940,435. Rectifying. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Dec. 9, 1960 [Dec. 15, 1959], No. 42416/60. Heading H2F. In an arrangement where a number of polyphase rectifiers 1, 2, 3, 4 feed a pair of D.C. lines 5 in parallel any rectifier, say 1 or 3, which is a mercury arc or contact rectifier and consequently liable to suffer an internal short circuit on the D.C. side under fault conditions is provided with a rectifier element 6, 7, in its output circuit so that the other rectifiers which may be semi-conductor rectifiers cannot be overloaded by the short circuit and themselves become damaged.
