Abstract
900,768. Air-heating stoves. SUGG & CO. Ltd., WILLIAM. July 24, 1958, No. 23922/58. Class 64 (1). An air heater comprises a easing 1 having an air inlet, an air outlet 17, a combustion chamber 3 containing a burner 18, an air heating chamber constructed to form a substantially vertical open space 13 between the combustion chamber 3 and the rear wall of the casing and separated from the combustion chamber by a common heat-conducting wall 14, a series of upwardly directed flue tubes 5 extending across one side of the interior of the air heating chamber, and a centrifugal air circulating fan 6 mounted in or below the inlet end 12 of the air heating chamber to direct air through the chamber and between the flue tubes to the heated air outlet 17. In the form shown, a baffle 15 is provided in the air heating chamber to direct a portion of the air over the lower parts of the flue tubes. Specification 674,047 is referred to.
