[Also in Group XVIII] The measuring chamber 33 of a valve for dispensing a measured quantity of fluid from a pressurized container 12 is formed at the bottom with a neck 16 a and a central aperture 17 so that different sizes of auxiliary chamber 35 can be screw or press-fitted on the neck to vary the quantity dispensed. If the valve is to be used with the basic chamber 33 by itself, a cap or plug is fitted to close the aperture 17. In the inoperative position of the valve, a spring 27 presses the hollow stem 23 upwards so that a discharge passage 25 is above a resilient disc 18 and a flange 26 seals on the disc. On depressing the valve, a second resilient disc 30 seals ports 29 connecting the chamber to the container and then slides on the valve stem against the action of a spring 31 unitl the passage 25 comes below the disc 18 and allows the contents of the measuring chamber to discharge. To ensure that the contents of the auxiliary chamber are discharged, an orifice 36 is provided in the inner hollow portion of the valve stem.
