Abstract

1,123,569. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. SEAQUIST VALVE CO. Dec. 30, 1965 [Dec. 30, 1964J, No.55260/65. Heading F1R. A pressurized dispensing container for use either by itself or for filling a smaller container ("mother and daughter") is under an excess pressure, and a disc 10 with a restrictor orifice 14 is provided in the valve-operating button 38 so that, when the container is used by itself, its spray pattern is not affected by the excess pressure. To fill the small container, the button 38 is removed and the small container coupled to the valve stem 30, Fig. 1 (not shown). A frustoconical swirl chamber is provided between the restrictor disc 10 and the discharge nozzle 40, and is offset so that the container contents are directed by orifice 14 on to the side wall of the swirl chamber, Fig. 6 (not shown). Disc 10 may be produced by cutting slices from a plastic capillary tube, Fig. 3 (not shown).
