Abstract
881,807. Spray-producers. ZACKHEIM, E. A. Oct. 22, 1958 [Oct. 22, 1957], No. 33855/58. Class 69 (3). [Also in Group XVII] A compressible body 12, Fig. 3, containing liquid to be dispensed, e.g. nasal medication, has a spray dispenser 16 at one end and a drop dispenser 15 at the other, both being received within necks 14 having threaded closure caps 13. The dispenser 16 includes a tube 17 with its outlet end received within a bore leading to the spray outlet, and the outlet end is spaced from the bore walls by longitudinal ribs 19, Fig. 4. The device is held upright in operation, and the body compressed, one or other of the closure caps being removed as desired. In the modification of Fig. 5 the drop dispenser is fitted to the cap 23, and includes a compressible bulb 22 for drawing liquid from the body into a tube, after which the dispenser is removed from the body and the liquid dispensed from the tube by compression of the bulb.
