In a carton of the type having closing flaps comprising a main flap 1 on to which are folded two side flaps 3, 4 and a further main flap 2 which is folded on to the side flaps and has an extension 7 that tucks under an edge 12 of the flap 1, the flap 2 has projections 8, 9 on its sloping sides for engagement with corresponding openings 10, 11 in the side flaps.
