A cardboard carton for powdered materials has each end formed of only one end flap 15 or 16 thereby saving material. Each carton comprises two main panels 3, 4, two side panels 5, 8, a sealing tab 11, two end flaps 15, 16 each with a tab 19 for securing to the main panel 4, and tabs 13, 21 on the side panels and end flaps these tabs being complementary to one another Perforations 24, Fig. 4, enable an opening to be formed in one side panel.
