Abstract

805,433. Loading trucks. CLIFF VALE ENGINEERING WORKS Ltd. March 15, 1957 [Feb. 23, 1956], No. 5600/56. Class 78 (4). [Also in Group XVIII] In a weighing mechanism (see Group XVIII), for feeding a constant depth of material into trucks 15 which are moved, continuously, beneath a pair of alternately opened outlets of a hopper 14 the flow diverting flap 21 is moved to change the direction of feed by a thrustor 22 controlled by a valve 23 which is operated by a rod 24 when this is moved longitudinally by cams 28 consequent upon the engagement of the walls of the trucks with cruciform members 26 secured to the cams. The rod is acted upon by an overcentre spring 25. In a modification (not shown), valve 23 and thrustor 22 are replaced by a switch and an electric actuator respectively.
