Abstract

920,541. Pneumatic conveyers; unloading vehicles. BONALLACK & SONS Ltd. April 7, 1961 [March 8, 1960], No. 8149/60. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (4). The flow of granular or powder material to a rotary pneumatic seal 6, Fig. 1, extending across the width of a hopper is controlled by selectively movable flaps 8 in compartments 7 arranged longitudinally of the seal 6 below the hopper floor. The flaps 8 may be opened fully or partially and in any desired sequence according to the nature of the material. Aligned ports 14, 15 provide for pneumatic discharge. The seal 6 is arranged transversely over the whole width of the floor of a vehicle having a tipping body so that all the material slides into the compartments 7.
