Abstract
768,825 Centrifugal strainer separators. ESCHER WYSS AKT.-GES. April 29, 1955 [May 15, 1954], No. 12499/55. Class 46. In a push type centrifugal strainer separator in which the thrust plate 6 rotates with the basket 1, to lessen the shock of discharge the plate directs the solid material on to a coaxial ring 11 rotating at a slower speed than and disposed at the discharge end of the basket in a stationary casing or catcher 3. An independent motor 13 drives the ring which widens in the direction of delivery, through a belt 12. The thrust plate 6 carries a feed hopper 5. In a modification, several rings, each rotating independently of and slower than its antecedent ring are provided and hot air may be blown through the gaps between them. In another form, the ring, 27, Fig. 4, is formed as a drum or basket 32 from which solid material is removed by a scraper 33.
