Abstract

767,220. Air filters. LISTER, J. P., LISTER, W. P., and LISTER, L. E., [trading as LISTER & SONS, J.]. June 6, 1955 '[June 10, 1954], No. 17028/54. Class 8(2) A dust-laden air filter comprises a vertical casing a having mounted in an upper compartment a suction fan b which draws dust-laden air through a bottom inlet d and up a vertical duct d<SP>1</SP> and thereafter discharges first through a filter sleeve c and then through a plurality of filter sleeves c<SP>1</SP> arranged in parallel and finally through a filter pad g set in a wall of the casing. The sleeves are suspended from a plate c<SP>2</SP>, sleeve c being open at both ends whereas sleeves c<SP>1</SP> are open at the bottom end only. The final filter g is of resin wool held between a pad of felt and a perforated metal plate f. The sleeves c, c<SP>1</SP> are cleared by vibrating connected frames e<SP>1</SP> surrounding each of them.
