764,823. Loud-speakers. TELEFUNKEN GES., [formerly TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE]. Nov. 5, 1953 [Nov. 5, 1952; Nov. 6, 1952], No. 30572/53. Class 40 (4). The convex side of a conical loud-speaker faces to the front to improve the high-frequency radiation. A conventional speaker with the casing behind the diaphragm reduced to narrow supporting arms may be mounted back-to-front on a baffle-board (Fig. 3, not shown) forming part of a cabinet or on a sound-impervious flange 5, Fig. 2. In Fig. 4, a reversed cone is supported by a shallow casing 18 and a centring spider 13. In Fig. 5, the centring spider is dispensed with, the moving coil 14 being in the same plane as the peripheral mounting 15. Specification 622,828 is referred to.
