751,248. Wrenches; pliers. DOWIDAT, O., [trading as GEDORE WERKZEUGFABRIK O. DOWIDAT]. March 8, 1954 [April 2. 1953]. No. 6644/54. Class 61 In a wrench having a movable jaw 6 pivoted at 5 to a handle 2 which carries the fixed jaw 1, a second handle 7 being pivoted at 8 to the jaw 6 and the handles being connected by an adjustable toggle lever 9, the jaw 1 has a flat transversely toothed gripping face and the inner face of the jaw 6 is transversely toothed and of concave formation. The tips 15, 16 of the jaws are untoothed and flat. The toothed portion of the jaw 6 is bowed outwardly at 13<SP>1</SP> and inwardly at 13", the part 17 being a straight surface arranged obliquely to the junction between the two jaws and provided with finer teeth than those on the bowed parts. The inner face of the jaw 1 is provided with a lcngitudinal prism-shaped groove.
