Class 51 (1) A spreader stoker includes a fuel support 23 to which fuel is supplied, means for directing a jet of elastic fluid so as to project fuel from the support and a deflector 80 which imparts to the fluid and fine particles entrained therein a downward deflection towards the grate. Air from a pipe 32 is projected through an orifice 30. Specifications 717,176 and 717,178 are referred to.
