Abstract
713,382. Spinning pots. INDUSTRIEWERKE KARLSRUHE AKT.-GES. July 15, 1952 [July 19, 1951; June 10, 1952], No. 17858/52. Class 120(2) A spinning pot for rayon comprises an outer shell made of light metal (aluminium or aluminium alloys) and a lining made of synthetic resin for protecting the internal surface of said shell against chemical and mechanical action wherein the lining is readily removable from the outer shell without damage to the latter or to itself. As shown the pot consists of an outer shell 1 and a lining 3 having smooth, tightly interengaging walls 2 of frusto-conical shape. The top 5 of the lining is shaped to cover the upper edge 4 of the shell and a cover 10 is secured on the pot in conventional manner. In a second embodiment the top of the lining extends upwardly above the upper edge of the shell and receives the cover directly. The lining is also provided at the bottom with a spigot which engages. a hole in the shell and is held therein by a spring ring. In a further embodiment the lining is elastic and is provided with projections on its outer surface which can be sprung into corresponding recesses in theinner wall of the shell.
