710,442. Hot-water boilers. MORRALEE, A. M. Oct. 6. 1952 [Nov. 15, 1951]. No. 26792/51. Class 64(1) [Also in Group XI] A water heater having a double-walled water container 10 surrounding a fireplace is provided with a burner unit (see Group XI) which comprises a draught tube 21 projecting through an opening in the top of the water heater into the firespace, a burner incorporating a wick 30 disposed below the lower end of the tube 21, and a fuel supply pipe 27 extending through the draught tube from a tank 22 mounted at the top of the draught tube to the burner. The container 10 is cylindrical and closed at both ends. A funnel 16 with a depending tube 17 extends through one of two openings in the top of the casing, for the supply of water. A spout 18 is provided near the top of the container. Alternatively or additionally a water cock is provided at the bottom.
