Abstract
377,835. Internally-fired hot-water boilers. BARRALET, J. H. and NEW GEYSERS (1931), Ltd., 25, Addington Square, Camberwell, London. Sept. 10, 1931, No. 25408. [Class 64 (i).] In a water heater comprising an outer annular water space 2 with a hot water outlet 16, and an inner concentric heating chamber 3, a distributing plate 6, to which water is supplied through funnel 8, is connected to chamber 3 by a pipe 13 ending close to the level of slots 10 in the upper part of the plate 6 so that part of the inflowing water enters chamber 3 through pipe 13 and part enters space 2 through slots 10 ; and the heated water from chamber 3 overflows through connection 15 into space 2. To hold chamber 3 in place it is provided with a splayed serrated flange 18 at the bottom which has the extremities of its teeth attached to the surrounding cylindrical body. The lid 14 of the chamber 3, the plate 6, and the cover 7 of the heater are removable to give access to chamber 3.
