Abstract

256,497. Aktieselskabet A. Nielsen, and Nielsen, A. Feb. 18, 1926. Vaporizing-apparatus.-Enamelling, annealing, and other furnaces, stoves, boilers, &c. are heated by means of a vapour burner arranged in the tire-door opening 10 and comprising an inclined vaporizing tube 11 which is fed with oil by a central pipe 8 and is heated by the burning vapour issuing from a nozzle 17 fitted with a regulating needle-valve 18. The valve body 16 is connected to the tube 11 by aT-piece 13 containing a piece of wire netting 28. The oil is supplied to the tube 8 either by gravity or from a tank which is connected through a pressurereducing valve to a compressed air reservoir. The thickness of the wall of the tube 11 decreases towards its lower end. The tube 8 may be of such a length that a small quantity of fuel collects at the bottom of the tube 11, this being stated to prevent fluctuations in the vapour supply to the nozzle. The tube 8 may be fitted with an almost closed valve or with a diaphragm having a small aperture to prevent a rush of fuel from the supply tank if the tube 11 bursts.
