709,926. Cable fastenings. FERNBERG, E. B., and FERNTOL PATENTS, Ltd. Feb. 18, 1952, [March 27, 1951.] No. 7124/51. Class 36. [Also in Group XXV] A fastener for securing cables to a panel comprises a length of rectangular strip spring steel bent to the shape shown and formed with a prong 11 sheared and bent from each of the longer edges to retain the fastener on the edge of the panel. An end 22 is clipped beneath a lug 15 to retain the cables in loops 19, 20, 21. The prongs may be formed in either or both limbs of the U-portion 16 and may be formed internally of the edges. In another form Fig. 6, (not shown), the U-portion and prongs are replaced by a tongue struck out from the base of the fastener and passed through a hole in the panel until a depression integral therewith engages the hole.
