710,107. Supporting cables. FERNBERG, E. B., and FERNTOL PATENTS, Ltd. June 18, 1952, [June 13, 1951.] No. 14009/51. Class 36: [Also in Groups XXII and XXV] A resilient fastener, more .particularly for securing cables to automobile chassis, is formed of a cross-shaped, one-piece metal blank, the stem 10 of the longitudinal member of which is bent into a loop, one arm 13 of the transverse is bent at right-angles about a longitudinal line 21, and the other arm 14 having prongs 19, 20 at its extremity is bent at more than right-angles about a longitudinal line 23, so that the prongs are directed towards the arm 13 and the longitudinal member. In use the fastener is secured to the edge of a plate etc. by forcing the U-shaped member 11, 13, 14 thereover, the prongs 19, 20 thereafter resisting removal, and cables are held between the portions B and 11.
