Abstract
703,171. Treatment of lawns &c. HARGREAVES & CO., Ltd., W. April 1, 1952 [Jan. 1, 1951], No. 13/51. Class 6 (1) Turf-piercing hollow tines g pass removed material into a cylinder of expanded metal d where it is disintegrated during forward rotary movement and sifted back over the turf. Fertilizer may be fed into a pair of cylinders from a hopper l, right and left handed screws n being mounted in housings at the base of the hopper. They are driven by toothed gearing from the hubs b of the plates a which are formed with arcuate openings a<SP>1</SP> through which the material is ejected.
