Abstract

572,016. Seed sowers. WARD, F., and WARD, W. Oct. 4, 1943, No. 16253. [Class 6 (i)] A seled-sowing, machine comprises parallel rotatable discs 1 spaced by pairs of transverse partitions, each pair 3, 4 converging to a peripheral discharge opening 6 and one of each pair extending to the centre of the discs 1. A guard 8 prevents premature discharge. The partitions may be as shown or symmetrical with respect to radii to the disc axis. In this case the seed is introduced laterally through a central gap. Discs may be mounted coaxially with or on a parallel shaft geared to the landwheels. In the latter case adjacent pairs are linked or universally connected to allow for ground irregularities.
