682,989. Seed-sowers. M. & G. PRODUCTS, Ltd. June 18, 1951 [June 27, 1950], No. 15965/50. Class 6(i) A seed-sowing machine comprises a hopper a with a rotatable apertured disc b mounted beneath its base, a spring-loaded ejector c being mounted above the disc, outside the hopper, to thrust the seeds downwardly through the apertures into a sowing shoot d<SP>1</SP>. The disc is driven from the land - wheels by bevel gearing b<SP>2</SP>, b<SP>3</SP> and its surface is swept by a stationary brush e secured to the hopper wall. The shoot d opens into a hollow coulter d which is preceded and followed by furrowing and consolidating tools. The machine is attached by parallel links to a tractor. Interchangeable discs with various aperture-spacings may be provided.
