A time lag mechanism is provided so that the plate B can be arranged so as to not operate the switch arm a until a predetermined time after setting the plate B in the operating position. This mechanism comprises a horizontal sliding bar D slidable on studs d' so that when the bar D is to the right it prevents the plate B contacting the arm a. The bar D is controlled by an arm C pivoted at C' and engaging in a slot c therein, a peg d<SP>2</SP> on the bar D. The lower end of arm C has a pin C<SP>2</SP> which engages a tooth on the ratchet wheel 6 so that as the latter rotates it moves the arm C from one side to the other, thus sliding the bar D to the left and allowing plate B to operate the switch arm a.
