689,628. Sheet-metal containers. FISHER & LUDLOW, Ltd. Jan. 17, 1951 [Jan. 18, 1950], No. 1289/50. Class 66 A drum &c. e.g. of stainless steel, has two flanged, deep-drawn body parts 10, 11 detachably secured by tightening a flexible circlip 19 circumferentially. The flanges 18 may be doubled back as illustrated, and a resilient washer is compressed between them. Flanged, channelsection rings 23 may be spot-welded on, to facilitate rolling, and a headring 24 and a footring 241 welded on, to facilitate stacking &c. An outlet 26 and closure (not shown) are provided. In a modified form, an open-ended body portion is interposed between the portions 10, 11.
