[Class 66] A composite lid for cooking vessels of various sizes comprises channel-shaped rings fitting around a disc 1 having a flange 3. Each ring has a peripheral flange 10 on an upper annular part 7 joined by a web 9 to a lower annular part 8 which affords a seating for the flange 10 or 3 of the next inner part. Said flange which may be inclined downwards and outwards, frictionally engages the web 9 of the next outer ring.
