638,964. Manually-actuated valves. AIKEN, F. V. May 18, 1948, No. 13466. [Class 135] A stop tap comprises a T- piece D having a bore B for a copper &c. supply pipe C, an outlet K, and a threaded bore to receive a stem E having a pointed end which seats on the end of the supply pipe. A nut G retains the pipe C in position by engagement with a copper ring H welded to the pipe. A fluid-tight joint is maintained between the stem and the T-piece by a nut GI and a leather washer W.
