Abstract
629,701. Two-stroke engines. BRIGAUDET, M. July 1, 1947, No. 17339. Convention date, July 2, 1946. [Class 7 (ii)] Sets of parallel cylinders 3, 31 are formed in blocks 2, 21 which rotate in casings 1, 1' arranged at right angles to one another, L-shaped pistons 7 acting as pump pistons in cylinders 3 for precompressing the charge and as expansion pistons in cylinders 3'. The charge is admitted to the pump cylinders through ports 8, 9 and transferred to the expansion cylinders through ports 10, 11, a fixed passage 6 and ports 101, 11<SP>1</SP>. Power is taken from a shaft 12 attached to the block 2 and further power may be taken from an additional shaft attached to the block 2<SP>1</SP>.
