[Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group II] A mixing apparatus comprises a stationary screw 3 fixed in a chamber 1 forming a stationary coiled chamber through which plastic material is forced by an extrusion press to a die. A heater 2 surrounds the chamber and a heater may be arranged in a bore 5 of the hub of the screw.
