Abstract

Tablets (e.g. mothballs) are formed from loose or powdered material in spaced relation on a string by feeding the string across mould cavities in a drum which is rotated step by step, powder being fed from a hopper fitted with a stirrer. The tablets are compressed by a die plunger which is reciprocated in synchronism with the movement of the drum. See also Group V.
