Abstract

636,110. Injection moulding. SOC. p. A. LAVORAZIONE MATERIE PLASTICHE. May 2, 1946, No. 13325. Convention date, Sept. 18, 1942. [Class 87 (ii)] Thermoplastic material is forced into a mould by pressing the mould against a nozzle 3 of a cylinder 2 which is thus forced back over a cylinder 1. The cylinders 1, 2 are charged by an extrusion press through a perforated diaphragm 5 thus forcing the cylinder 2 outwardly from the cylinder 1. The cylinder 2 has a tubular electrical resistance heater 4. A plurality of cylinders 2 or a plurality of nozzles 3 for the cylinder 2 may be provided. Specifications 629,109 and 634,071 are referred to.
