Abstract

620,064. Watches. PAGNARD, G. Oct. 30, 1946, No. 32242. Convention date, Nov. 30, 1945. [Class 139] A watch having a combined bezel 1 and movement holder 2 on which a back 4 is screwed is provided with a toothed ring 8 placed between the case band 12 and the bezel. The teeth of the ring 8 engage a pinion 10 on the winding stem 11. A ring 14 placed between the case band 12 and the back 4 carries a sloping member 20, Fig. 2, which projects between the pinion 10 and a collar 16 on the winding stem 11. The ring 14 is normally in a position in which rotation of the ring 8 causes, through the pinion 10, winding up of the mainspring. If, however, the ring 14 is rotated to its other position the projecting member 20 by reason of its slope moves the pinion 10 longitudinally into a position in which rotation of the ring 8 causes hand setting. The ring 14 may be omitted and the projection 20 carried by the case band 12, Fig. 3 (not shown), which is rotatable between two positions. Specification 620,065 is referred to.
