613,757. Seats and frames therefor. MORRIS, C. V. July 1, 1946. No. 19641. [Class 52 (ii)] An easy chair, car seat or the like comprises a base or seat frame formed of a metal or alloy pressing and a back and side members each formed of a single plane plate of plastic or metal. As shown the seat frame A is constructed in rectangular form of channel cross section with flanges E, and cross webs F, G and is connected at each side to plane plate members C, the tops of which are curved to act as arm rests, and at the rear to a sloping plane plate back member B. The upper part B<1> of the latter is broadened and, when it overlaps the side members C, is provided with notches to engage correspondingly notched portions of the side members C.
