Abstract

605,035. Nesting chairs. BIRMINGHAM GUILD, Ltd., JONES, O. P. and SIDDENS, F. R. Dec. 12, 1945, No. 33682. [Class 52(ii)] A nesting chair is constructed of rectangular tubing with the side members 12 of the seat frame converging towards the rear while the rear legs 14 are laterally offset relative to the seat frame. The chairs may be stacked by vertically lowering one upon the other until the seat frames are in contact. The seating surface preferably comprises a metal panel 19 with flanged edges which can be covered with fabric and sprung into the opening in the seat frame. Specification 577,369 is referred to.
