Abstract

613,758. Seat frames. MORRIS, C. V. July 1, 1946. No. 19642. [Class 52 (ii)] A seat frame for easy chairs, car seats, &c., comprises a pressing of sheet aluminium, or other metal or alloy of rectangular form with channelshaped cross section having the flanges of the channel projecting inwardly from the more or less upright web which forms the perimeter of the frame. As shown the seat frame A is of a channel section perimeter, the flanges E of the channel projecting inwardly of the frame from the perimeter web. The web F at the front is vertical and projects above the frame at F<1> to assist in the retention of the seat squab. The web F<2> at the rear is inclined to the angle of the back member B. Preferably the upper part of the frame A is provided with an intermediate integral cross member G of angle form.
