824,250. Reclining chairs. SEARLE & SON Ltd., H. J. May 16, 1956 [May 17, 1955], No. 14234/55. Class 52(2) An adjustable reclining chair has a seat section 6 with arcuate side members 7 slidable on arcuate bearer rails 4 of a frame section, a back rest 9 having pins 10 movable in vertical slots 11 in the frame and pins 12 engaging sockets 13 in the rear transverse member of seat 6 so that the inclination of the seat section varies directly with that of the back section. A spring 15 connected between bearer rails 4 and pins 16 on side members 7 assists in returning the seat member to its rearmost position.
